I am a resident of Spain. How do I declare earnings received when filling in my tax return or annual income statement?

If you are a resident of Spain:

For income (interest) through Daslending (Crowdlending)

  • For projects with Portuguese promoters, Daskapital withholds the tax due (Article 71 of the IRS Code).

  • In your annual income tax return (IRPF), indicate box 588 (‘Deductions for international double taxation, due to income obtained and taxed abroad’) and indicate the interest received and amounts withheld.

  • For income without withholding, declare the interest earned in box 027 (‘Income from deposits and financial assets in general’).

For income obtained through Dasfactoring (Crowdfactoring)

  • Profits are treated as capital gains in the IRPF (difference between the amount invested and the amount repaid).

  • There is no obligation to withhold tax on capital gains, so Daskapital does not withhold tax on income obtained through Dasfactoring in any case.

  • To declare capital gains, you must enter in box 389 (‘Other capital gains to be included in the taxable savings base’) the income obtained from promissory note discounting, purchase and sale of invoices, secondary market transactions and bonuses received. Losses must be declared when a credit is legally declared in default.
